Your visit

Your admission to the Centre includes a 30 min. documentary, ‘the Dinosaur Hunters’, in the Centre’s Discovery Theatre. The documentary details the discovery and excavation of Scotty, Canada’s most complete Tyrannosaurus rex, who calls the T. rex Discovery Centre its home. Afterwards, visitors can learn about the rich fossil history of SW Saskatchewan by touring the Cretaceous and Tertiary galleries. A visit to the galleries can be self-guided, although a guided tour with one of the knowledgeable interpreters is recommended. Tours are offered regularly throughout the day. As well as a fascinating insight into the life of T. rex and the landscape and environment that Scotty would have roamed, the guided tour offers discussion on the demise of the dinosaurs and the rise and success of the mammals.
