They're Alive!
-In this workshop, students will explore the needs of animals in our environment and examine what they must have to survive. Using physical play, recognition and recall, and memory skills, they will compare our environment today with the prehistoric world of dinosaurs, and determine which, if any, creatures from the dinosaur age could live in Saskatchewan's environment today.Outdoor component, so dress appropriately.

Rocks: My World!
-In this exciting workshop, students will learn about the geologic history of Saskatchewan and the different rock strata through theatrical play and the delightfully messy (don't worry, we do all the clean up) process of watching erosion in fast forward. They will explore the power of wind, water and weather in shaping both our landscape and our lives.(Actual weather may affect the program activities)

On Your Beast Behaviour
-In this workshop, students will discover the huge variety of living things in both modern and prehistoric environments, while learning what paleontologists and biologists do. They will also have a chance to explore how adaptations and behaviours help species survive changes in their environments. Learning goals are achieved through active, hands-on activities that are sure to please. Curriculum connections: Gr. 6: Diversity of Living Things Gr.4: Habitats and Communities.Onion Earth
-Students will discover the layers of geologic history beneath our feet. Saskatchewan's geologic record provides evidence of mountains, oceans, sub-tropical forests, ice ages, and even provides clues to dinosaur extinction. They will investigate the sweet science of determining the age of rock and will explore how the geologic past shapes our current economic activities and industries. $4.50 (+tax) per student.-This workshop begins indoors and then moves to the Wilkinson Memorial Observatory. Students will discover the workings of the equatorial mount telescope, and find out what there is to see in the sky, night or day. This workshop can be tailored to suit your age group and learning needs. There is an outdoor component, so dress appropriately.
